Congress passed bills that drastically reduces the disparity in crack and power cocaine sentencing and increase aviation safety. The House also passed legislation to crack down on K Street lobbyists who flake on disclosure laws while House Republicans maneuvered to block a bill to aid sick 9/11 workers. Senate Republicans also blocked a bill benefiting small businesses.
