In June, to celebrate Pride Month, the East Bay South community was delighted to gather at the LGBTQ-owned Sabio on Main, a stylish and casual restaurant in the heart of beautiful downtown Pleasanton.

Attendees enjoyed a private dining experience with four different food stations as well as drink pairings. Wine pairings included strawberry gazpacho and sparkling brut wine, deer meatballs with cabernet sauvignon, quail toast with chorizo and avocado with tempranillo, white chocolate bacon fritters with an old-fashioned Aztec chocolate. Each participant won their own Yelp wine glass!

Our evening at Sabio’s in downtown Pleasanton reminds me of why I became Yelp Elite. I really missed those in-person events. It was really nice to meet other like-minded foodies who are also local to the area and to catch up with other people I haven’t seen since pre-pandemic. For this event, we were able to taste unique food and wine pairings… Thank you Sabio sur Main and Yelp CM Alicia F. for spoiling us with Yelp Elites. I will definitely be dragging someone here on date night in the near future.
