With VSCO 2 CE from Versilian Studios, you can start exploring the world of sampling and find yourself with a whole chamber orchestra in your DAW. The community edition is free and includes 19 instruments, including the trumpet.
There are many variations that all use the VSCO 2 CE sample library, as royalty-free samples means anyone can create their own software using the sounds. They are all free to download and you can explore the different options here.

If these are the atmospheric trumpet sounds you are looking for, take a look LABS Trumpet Fields. Provided once again by the incredible Spitfire Audio, the LABS program is made up of free virtual instruments, an incredible collection that is constantly growing.
Trumpet Fields is the sound of two trumpeters playing long, moody notes. There are five different reverbs to increase the atmosphere and a delay to produce a warm, sparkling sound. Perfect for creating ambient and lo-fi tracks.
