Another busy Saturday! Here is the list for today/tonight, mostly from the WSB West Seattle Events Calendar:

TRAFFIC ALERTS: The eastbound Spokane Street overpass is closed; so are lanes on I-5 southbound between I-90 and Spokane St.

EMERALD WATER ANGLERS SUMMER FEST: Celebrate fishing with vendors, demos and more at Me-Kwa-Mooks Park (4500 Beach Drive SW), presented by Anglers in emerald water (BMS sponsor) – check our calendar listing for some of the free highlights; the only thing to bring money for is lunch (look what’s cooking).

ADVANTAGE OF BLOCK SALE: 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on SW 107th west of 35th SW to raise funds for PAWS – details in our calendar list.

A DAY OF SERVICE IN SEATTLE: As of 9 a.m., thousands of volunteers are working on dozens of projects around town, including several here in West Seattle. Not registered? Check here for anyone who still needs a helping hand.

HIGH POINT BEE PARTY: The house of West Seattle Bee Garden is hosting a low-key festival this year, with events from 9:30 a.m. to Commons Park (behind 6400 Sylvan Way SW).

BIKE RODEO: 10am-1pm at Delridge Community Center (4501 Delridge Way SW), a fun event to help kids learn to ride a bike better and safer.

NEW OUTDOOR MARKET: The heron’s nest (4818 Puget Way SW) hosts a new monthly outdoor market, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

BOWL-A-NOMA: bowl Seattle West Bowl (39th/Oregon) to fight melanoma, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SPORTS: West Seattle High SchoolThe league champion baseball team has a regional playoff game at 10 a.m. at Bannerwood Park at Bellevue (1790 Richards Road), against Stanwood. If the Wildcats win, they will play again later in the day, time and opponent to be determined.

FRIENDS OF MORGAN JUNCTION PARK: Help beautify the park (just north of California and Fauntleroy) 11am-2pm: “We will be primarily weeding and spreading mulch, but there will be other projects for gardeners of all skill levels.

WINE TIME: the Viscon Cellars (5910 California SW; WSB Sponsor) Tasting Room is open 1-6 p.m., for tasting or wine by the glass/bottle.

POP-UP SHOP: Vintage clothing today, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Brocante Beach House (2622 Alki SW)!

BOWLING FOR EQUALITY: bowl with HRC Seattle in two waves Seattle West Bowl (39th/Oregon) – 3-5pm or 6-8pm.

SPEAK TO YOUR COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE: First in-person Community Conversation Meeting with West Seattle/South Park School Board Representative Leslie Harris since the start of the pandemic – 3 p.m. to West of Seattle (Admiral) Library. (2306 42nd SW)

THE GREAT RETURN: 3-8 p.m., stop by strong>Pathfinder K-8 (1901 SW Genesee) for free fun in support of the PTSA Spring Fundraiser (you are welcome whether you can donate or not )

BOUNCE ON THE OZ: Seattle Beer Week the festivities continue Ounces (3809 Delridge Way SW) with Bouncing Invasion – a free space-themed bouncy house “for kids of all ages”. 3-6 p.m.

DESTINATION DELRIDGE: Dine, dance and support DNDAfrom 6 p.m. to Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (4408 Delridge Way SW).

EVENING MUSIC @ C&P COFFEE: The Brews Brothers to C&P Coffee Company (5612 California SW; sponsor WSB), 7 p.m., no coverage.

AT SKYLARK: Doors at 7 a.m., music at 8 a.m., for a “Tribute to Taylor”. Music by Holler from the mountainMembers of Smokey T and the Larks, and special guests. to The Lark (3803 Delridge Way SW). All public until 10 p.m.
